Uzbekistan banks work with clients from 9.00 to 15.00 on weekdays. Some banks also work on Saturdays.

Foreign currency (dollars, euro) may be exchanged practically in all banks as well as exchange offices in the city, hotels, supermarkets, stations and airports.

Exchange rate is fixed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Most exchange offices in Tashkent work round the clock in hotels. Prior to traveling to small regional centers it is recommended to have stock of cash in Sums because it is hard to exchange the currency during evening time. Money transfers may be transmitted via Western Union, Money Gram and other money transfer services.
